The guardian Buddha of those born in the Year of the Tiger is Akasagarbha Bodhisattva. Akasagarbha Bodhisattva is one of the eight great Bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. He symbolizes wisdom, virtue, and wealth, and is primarily responsible for increasing one's merits and wisdom. He is also regarded as the God of Wealth in the Buddhist realm.
