安息香
【性味】辛、苦，平。
【歸經】歸心、脾經。
【功能主治】開竊清神，行氣活血，止痛。用於中風痰厥，氣鬱暴厥，中惡昏迷，心腹疼痛，產後血暈，小兒驚風。
 
印度安息香（安悉香/拙具羅香），在傳統香、印度香、日本香中經常使用的如糖果般香甜的樹脂。古代由西域安息國傳入，故名安息香。自古以來安息香都用作香薰及宗教用途。在密宗，以安息香供養準提菩薩份外殊勝。安息香有安神醒腦、除障消穢等功效。
 
India Benzoin is a candy-like sweet resin often used in traditional incense, Indian incense, and Japanese incense. In ancient times, it was introduced from the Western Regions of the Parthian Kingdom, hence the name benzoin. Benzoin has been used for aromatherapy and religious purposes since ancient times. In Tantric Buddhism, offering Cunti Bodhisattva (Chandi /Chandika Devi in Hinduism) with benzoin is exceptional. Benzoin can soothe the nerves and refresh the brain, remove obstacles and eliminate filth.
